The Film Commission launches a workshop on the basics of film production… tomorrow
The Film Commission announced the organization of an in-person workshop entitled “Fundamentals of Film Production” in Riyadh during the period from December 8 to 12.
The workshop aims to provide those interested in the field of film production with knowledge and practical steps to transform creative ideas into films ready to reach the target audience.
It extends over a period of five days with the participation of between 15 and 20 trainees, and includes intensive training on the foundations of cinematic production provided by film expert Dora Bouchoucha, who has more than 30 years of experience in filmmaking, having contributed to the production of many international award-winning cinematic works.
Scenario development
The workshop addresses multiple topics, including cooperation with the director to develop the scenario, pre-production stages, and strategies for securing financing and managing resources to ensure the director’s vision is achieved within the specified budget.
It also focuses on planning and management to ensure effective and efficient workflow while enhancing leadership skills and dealing with teams with flexibility and respect.
It gives participants the opportunity to learn about the importance of planning and choosing the appropriate people to work on cinematic projects, and it also gives them the necessary tools to secure financial resources and implement films according to the best international standards.
Film industry in Saudi Arabia
Applicants are required to be interested in the field of cinematic production and to have ideas that can be developed into promising cinematic projects.
Through this workshop, the Film Commission seeks to support Saudi filmmakers and enhance their capabilities, thus contributing to the development of the film industry in the Kingdom according to a comprehensive development vision.
