In her speech during the opening session of the 23rd Arab Conference on Modern Methods in Hospital Management held in Cairo, Balkhi pointed to the radical transformations that hospitals are currently witnessing in their management methods, stressing the need to benefit from innovation and technology in order to adopt an approach to health care that puts the patient in mind. She said: This framework calls for a fundamental change in the financing, management and delivery of health services, and moving from health systems that target specific diseases and health institutions to systems designed for people and with people.
She expressed her aspiration for all people to have access to quality health services that they participate in designing in a way that meets their needs at all stages of life and respects their choices and diversity, which calls for coordination of services provided to them along the care chain, and for services to be comprehensive, safe, effective, timely, efficient, and acceptable, and for them to be All carers are enthusiastic, skilled and have a supportive working environment.
Healthcare digitization
She added: The path is not without challenges, including an increase in the costs of population health care, the age of the population advancing into old age, and increasing pressures for high-quality health care, calling on hospitals to adapt to these conditions by adopting strategies that focus on efficiency, centered on the patient, and achieving clinical excellence. , calling for the digitization of healthcare to improve data management and analysis, including centralized electronic health records to ensure smooth coordination and informed decision-making.
Balkhi explained that the World Health Organization is working to provide a fair artificial intelligence system that advances the goals of sustainable development and contributes to achieving a healthier world, pointing out that artificial intelligence has enormous potential benefits in key areas of public health, including the areas granted by the organization. Priority in the Eastern Mediterranean Region.

She pointed out that the organization seeks to establish a strong governance structure and develop standard technical policies and guidelines to ensure that artificial intelligence is used in health in an ethical manner, which is absolutely necessary to maintain public confidence, stressing that the Arab Organization for Administrative Development can become a platform for promoting innovation based on artificial intelligence from Through knowledge exchange, facilitation of regional dialogue and capacity building.
She expressed her confidence that the conference will be an opportunity to exchange best practices for integrating artificial intelligence into hospital operations, indicating that artificial intelligence and technological progress are essential elements in implementing our three main regional initiatives, which are improving medical supply chains and enhancing the capabilities of the workforce by providing training and benefiting from… Predictive analytics to improve health emergency response and treatment measures for substance abuse cases.
