3 million and 500 thousand Captagon tablets in the Sharjah police grip, with a value of more than 19 million dirhams

Sharjah, June 15/ WAM/ The Drug Enforcement Administration of the General Command of Sharjah Police in cooperation with the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police and in coordination with the General Administration of Federal Narcotics Control at the Ministry of Interior foiled an attempt to promote more than 3,500,000 narcotic captagon tablets targeting the youth category.

The operation, which was called “the bottom of the dark”, was a pre -emptive blow to a neurotic formation whose movements were monitored accurately.

Brigadier Majid Sultan Al -Asma, Director of the Drug Enforcement Department at Sharjah Police, said that the court operation resulted in the seizure of about 3,500,000 tablets of Captagon, whose total weight reached approximately 585 kilograms, whose market value is estimated at more than 19 million dirhams.

He explained that the seized quantity was found after accurate monitoring and investigative efforts that revealed that those involved in concealing the mental effects at the bottom of the earth and covering them with “interlock” industrial floors in an attempt to mislead the security services, but the analytical teams managed to detect the criminal method, reach the place of concealment and control narcotic substances and the ends of the gang formation within the state.

Brigadier Al -Asem affirmed that the process came the fruit of integration of efforts, careful information monitoring and intense investigations, which enabled the teams to track the network and reveal its methods of smuggling and promotion.

He pointed out that the promoters resort to deceptive means in their attempts to spread drugs, including the exploitation of social media platforms to reach the targeted groups, but the police services in the state thanks to God and then with the efficiency of their qualified cadres and advanced technologies have the full readiness to thwart these plans and confront them firmly and strongly.

He added: “We have informed all the drug control departments in the country about the criminal style used in this process in the context of strengthening the federal action system to combat smuggling and keeping pace with the rapid developments in the methods of organized crime .. Pharmacists do not spare an effort to target young people and drag them into the swamp of addiction, which requires that we be ahead of revealing the tricks that they resort to to complete their criminal plans.”

Brigadier Al -Ashma pointed out that the security successes are achieved only by concerted efforts and thanked the General Administration for Federal Narcotics Control of the Ministry of Interior for the coordination role and the General Command of the Abu Dhabi Police represented by the Drug Control Directorate for their cooperation and efforts in combating such crimes, which contributes to enhancing community security, as these efforts represent a model in the responsible and loyal work, stressing the importance of the community role in supporting security work He called on community members to enhance their cooperation with the competent authorities and report any activities that are similar to drugs related to drugs via the free number 8004654 or e -mail EA@shjpolice.gov.ae
