Musical performances celebrating world heritage at Al Dhafra Book Festival

Al Dhafra, December 14 / WAM / The performances of touring bands at the Al Dhafra Book Festival 2024 added a festive atmosphere that embodied a space for the convergence of different cultures on the land of Al Dhafra, which reflects the vision of the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language, the organization organizing the event, in consolidating heritage and preserving national identity. And enhancing artistic cultural awareness in society.
Different musical bands roam daily throughout the festival’s working hours, throughout Madinat Zayed Public Park, presenting folkloric scenes from the world. The Emirati Heritage Band stands out as one of the most important bands participating in the festival this year, as it presents examples of the popular artistic heritage represented in famous folk songs and paintings. Such as “Al-Yawla” and “Al-Ayyala”.
The Egyptian band transports the attendees to the atmosphere of the ancient neighborhoods of Egypt, and presents to them the traditional wedding rituals, while the Jordanian band presents the customs and traditions of Jordan at the groom’s wedding, which is accompanied by popular songs and chants.
Every day, the festival’s audience enjoys a new show by a different folkloric band from the world, which constitutes a carnival to celebrate global artistic heritage.
The “Radeem Theater” at the Al Dhafra Book Festival 2024 also witnessed a singing session that celebrated the late Emirati singer Jaber Jassim, performed by the artist Qusai Al Maamari, as part of the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language’s strategy to appreciate Emirati pioneers in various fields, connect the generation to its heritage and introduce it to its symbols.
