Crowning the winners of the Al Dhafra Falconry Festival competition

Al Dhafra, December 23 / WAM / The organizing committee of the falconry competition, within the eighteenth session of the Al Dhafra Festival, crowned the winners of the competitions.

This came in the presence of Obaid Khalfan Al Mazrouei, Acting Executive Director of the Festivals and Events Sector at the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, and Mufleh Al Mazrouei from the Abu Dhabi Falconers Club.

The competitions on the second day of the competition recorded the participation of 96 falconers in the “Gear Pure and Qarmousha Gear – Gernas” round, at the competition site in Madinat Zayed Square in the Al Dhafra region.

The falconry competition is held at the Al Dhafra Festival, organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority and the Abu Dhabi Falconers Club, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and is organized every year in conjunction with the falconry season in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The competition seeks to support falconers and encourage them to acquire, multiply and preserve purebred breeds of falcons, in addition to transmitting this heritage across generations.
