The Emirates Blood Donation Association concludes an initiative "Ramadan together"

Al Ain, March 20 / WAM / The Emirates Blood Donation Association concluded the activities of the fourth edition of the “Ramadan Together” initiative, which it organized throughout the holy month of Ramadan for the fourth year in a row, in cooperation with a number of government agencies and national institutions, with the aim of enhancing the values ​​of community solidarity and establishing the culture of volunteer work.

This year, the initiative witnessed the implementation of a series of humanitarian and community activities, which included distributing breakfast meals to needy and low-income families, in addition to distributing fast-breaking meals at traffic lights and main roads, which contributed to enhancing traffic safety and creating a safer environment for those fasting before breakfast time.

The initiative, in its fourth edition, was in line with declaring this year the Year of the Family, as it focused on supporting needy and low-income families, in addition to women, children, senior citizens, and people of determination, in a practical embodiment of the wise leadership’s approach to enhancing community cohesion and supporting different groups.

The initiative’s activities were distributed in the cities of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, with wide participation from partners and supporters, numbering about 15 entities, along with a number of other institutions, which contributed to the success of the distribution campaigns and organizing events in vital locations.

The initiative also witnessed active participation from volunteers, as their number reached about 1,600 volunteers in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, which reflects the spirit of giving and community cohesion that characterizes Emirati society.

The accompanying activities included the organization of the “Diplomatic Tent”, which was held with the participation of Their Excellencies, men of the diplomatic corps and national leaders, in addition to the “Tabashir Together” initiative, as part of a series of activities that strengthened the community presence of the initiative during the holy month.

His Excellency Dr. Ali Ahmed Al Ansari, Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors, confirmed that the continued success of the “Ramadan Together” initiative reflects the Association’s commitment to its humanitarian mission, and its inspiration for its values ​​from the directives of the wise leadership that urges giving, giving, and community service, indicating that the challenges were not an obstacle to the continuation of these qualitative initiatives.
