The King Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority implemented an environmental event to plant 2,000 seedlings in the reserve, as part of the “Let It Grow” initiative.
The initiative aims to enhance the spirit of volunteer work and motivate community members to contribute effectively to protecting the environment, as about 120 male and female volunteers from various segments of society participated in the event.
This event comes within the framework of the Authority’s efforts to enhance vegetation cover, combat desertification, and preserve and sustain natural resources, thus contributing to achieving environmental balance in accordance with international best practices.

The event also aims to motivate male and female volunteers, and raise their sense of responsibility towards the reserve’s environment and its development. The event included planting selected types of local plants, including Sidr and Talh, which are distinguished by their ability to adapt to the local environment and their vital role in enhancing environmental diversity in the region.
Such initiatives contribute to supporting the environmental goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, the “Green Saudi Arabia” initiative, in addition to the strategic goals for the year 2030 for the royal reserves, which aim to plant 80 million trees.
