Chinese Foreign Ministry: Beijing is ready to expand practical cooperation with BRICS members and partners

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning confirmed today that China is ready to work with BRICS members and partners to expand practical cooperation in various fields.
Mao explained – during a daily press briefing – that opening the door to joining the BRICS group by the partners is one of the results of the BRICS summit held last October in Kazan, Russia, according to what was reported by the Chinese Xinhua News Agency.
Mao indicated that this step represents an additional important progress in the group’s development, after the historic expansion witnessed last year.
It is worth noting that the founding countries of the BRICS group are: Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, and Egypt joined the BRICS countries recently along with five other countries.< /span>
