50 speakers at the Dubai International Project Management Forum

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, the Dubai International Project Management Forum is hosting its tenth session, which will be held from January 13 to 16, under the slogan: “ A Sustainable Future,” with more than 50 speakers from prominent international figures, heads of agencies and institutions, and officials of major international companies in the field of project management.

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority is organizing the forum in cooperation with the Project Management Institute (PMI), Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Emaar Properties and Dubai Ports World (DP World).

The Roads and Transport Authority said in a press statement yesterday that the participants are discussing 19 main and sub-topics related to the “sustainable city”, transformation, future jobs, and the future of project management.

The Director General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority, Mattar Al Tayer, confirmed that the forum is the largest regionally, as it was able to establish the importance of the role assigned to companies, bodies and institutions, in working to prepare “leaders” in project management by attracting the most important and prominent specialists and those with a wide international reputation. In the field of project management, they gather in Dubai to transform challenges into successful and sustainable opportunities, in accordance with the highest international standards and practices. He added: “The forum works to enhance the position that Dubai has become as a model in following and adopting international standards in project management and operation, and to confirm its leadership role due to its foundations related to security and safety and solid infrastructure capable of attracting investors and businessmen from all over the world, and consolidating concepts and practices.” Quality of life in the work environment and spreading awareness of its importance.”

The previous sessions of the forum attracted about 400 experts and specialists from various countries of the world, who presented the best international practices and creative solutions in the field of project management. About 17 thousand participants participated in it, 49% of whom were project managers, 17% of whom were department managers, and 14% of whom were senior engineers and project engineers. 6% are senior specialists and team leaders, in addition to specialists, project consultants, and university students.

The topics that the forum will discuss in its current session include a number of important theses, including: sustainable project management, sustainable mobility, future cities, leadership and strategy, customer focus, flexible management, efficiency of construction operations, artificial intelligence and big data, digital twins and the metaverse. Blockchain technology, and the fundamental impacts of generative artificial intelligence (GPT).
