I can’t believe it…a Lebanese artist who suffered from illness due to Syrian prisons

Lebanese artist Nawal Al Zoghbi expressed her happiness at the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime, congratulating the Syrian people on their freedom.

Nawal Al-Zoghbi said in a statement to Sky News Arabia: “Congratulations to the Syrian people. I am very happy that Syria has been liberated, and I did not know that this person was in torment in Syria.”

Nawal touched on Syrian prisons, and pointed out that her health condition had deteriorated due to the scenes of injustice that she saw in Syrian prisons.
In addition, Nawal expressed her great enthusiasm to go to Syria and celebrate the liberation celebrations there, saying: “I can’t believe it when I go to Syria and celebrate the liberation.”
