A balanced draw for the UAE representatives in the rounds accompanying the Dubai World Cup evening

The four-round draw accompanying the Dubai World Cup evening, which begins next Saturday in its 30th edition with a total prize pool of $30.5 million, witnessed balanced results for UAE representatives, especially in the fourth round, the “Emirates Derby.”

The lottery was conducted for:

– The first half, “Dubai Kahaila Classic,” for purebred Arabian horses, Group 1, for 2000 meters of sand, with a prize of one million dollars.
– The second half, “Godolphin Mile,” for crossbred horses, Group 2, over a distance of 1,600 meters of sand, with a prize of one million dollars.
– The third and fourth halves, “Dubai Gold Cup” and “Emirates Derby” for hybrid horses, Group 2, for distances of 3,200 meters on grass and 1,900 meters on sand, each with a prize of one million dollars.

Later, a drawing ceremony will be held for rounds five through nine, which include the highest-ranking races in the world category, Group 1, which are:

– Al Quoz Sprint, 1,200 meters on grass ($1.5 million).
– Dubai Golden Shaheen for 1,200 meters of sand ($2 million).
– Dubai Turf, 1800 meters on grass ($5 million).
– Dubai Shaima Classic, 2410 meters ($6 million).
– The main race of the Dubai World Cup for 2000 meters of sand ($12 million).

“Lioness” is in an ideal gateway for the UAE Derby

The draw for the fourth round, the “Emirates Derby,” was fair for the representatives of the Emirates, as the filly Labwa, with the logo of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the supervision of trainer Salem bin Ghadeer, won the eighth gate, along with the horses Devon Island for the “Godolphin” team and Pyromancer coming from the Japanese races, which puts the representatives of the Emirates in a balanced competitive position.

The two horses, Ramas, also received the logo of the “RRR Racing” team and the Union Secret of Mohammed Ahmed Al Sabousi, in the third and fourth gates, which enhances the chances of the Emirati horses to compete for the race title.

Differing chances for UAE representatives at the Godolphin Mile

The draw varied in the second half of the “Godolphin Mile” for the representatives of the Emirates, as the horse Masmak for His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed won the last gate 12, while Telemark, owned by Hamdan Al-Sabousi, started from the tenth gate, and the horse World Record for the “RRR Racing” team started from the third gate, which poses different challenges to the local horses.

A difficult task for the Dubai Gold Cup holder

The draw for the third round, “Dubai Gold Cup,” resulted in a difficult task for the defending champion, Dubai Future, with the “Godolphin” logo and the supervision of coach Saeed bin Suroor, after giving him the first gate, which is known for its difficulty, as well as the last gate in international horse racing.

“First Class” starts from an ideal gate in the “Khaila Classic”

The draw did justice to the 2022 and 2025 Dubai Kahaila Classic champion, First Class, owned by Deborah Mihalov and under the supervision of coach Doug Watson, by obtaining the perfect ninth gate for the 2000 meters of sand.

In contrast, the draw was difficult for other representatives of the country, such as the horse Raad Al Mubarak, owned by Sheikha Alyazia bint Sultan Al Nahyan, who was registered in the tenth gate, and Tariq Beshara, “Yas Racing”, who started from the sixth gate, which poses strategic challenges for them.
