The Fatima Bint Mubarak Award for Women’s Sports is the most prominent and important annual event in the Arab world for the Academy, as it attracts leaders and athletes from all over the Arab world to honor distinguished achievements from athletes, federations, administrative bodies, the media and others in the field of women’s sports.

Last year, the award reached its eighth edition after a series of successes over the past years, which witnessed the honoring of hundreds of female achievers in various sports.

In a qualitative leap within its strategic plan to develop and increase the number of female members and sports players, the academy’s new headquarters was opened last May. It is located between the Erth Abu Dhabi Hotel and the Abu Dhabi Ladies Club, opposite the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, and extends over an area of ​​approximately 13,870 square meters.

Dr. Omniyat Al Hajri, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy for Women’s Sports, confirmed that the Academy has worked to implement its strategy in terms of empowering women in the sports sector, and continues to implement this by expanding the base of its members as well as the games that fall under its umbrella.

Her Excellency Noura Al Suwaidi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Women’s Sports Academy, confirmed that the Academy is continuing to implement its ambitious strategic plans to advance women’s sports in Abu Dhabi in particular and in the Emirates in general, pointing out that the Academy will continue its approach of adding many games and expanding the base of female players joining. To her.

She said: The Academy has great ambitious plans in terms of education and research, as it works to host a series of monthly seminars and annual forums, in addition to conducting a number of research projects and case studies that examine the current scene of women’s sports in the Emirates in general and in Abu Dhabi in particular.

Talal Al Hashemi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy for Women’s Sports, confirmed that the academy is proceeding according to a clear strategic plan from several axes, the most prominent of which is focusing on the elements of administrative excellence and working to develop them, enhancing strengths and addressing opportunities for improvement, and is also working to form sports teams at a high level of excellence. Competitiveness, participation in various tournaments and sporting events, and analysis of their technical performance to raise their levels.

He explained that the academy aims to place Abu Dhabi on the global map of women’s sports by hosting a number of national and international sports competitions, competitions and tournaments, the most important of which is the Fatima Bint Mubarak International Academy Show Jumping Cup.

Shamsa Al-Hinai, a member of the Board of Directors of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy for Women’s Sports, stated that the Academy has been supporting women’s sports since its inception to achieve the goal for which it was founded, and has achieved many remarkable achievements in various games, as the recent period witnessed the organization of many sports tournaments in the Games.
