Details of the Kingdom hosting the Arab Electricity Union Conference in February

The capital, Riyadh, will host – under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy – the eighth general conference of the Arab Electricity Union, during the period from 11 to 13 February 2025 AD.
This year, the conference will be held under the title “Towards Sustainability in the Arab World.”

More than 1,000 people, including government officials, decision makers, CEOs, academics, experts, and specialists in a particular field, participate in it.
As well as the energy fields in general in the Arab world, in addition to major companies in the electricity and energy sector, and an elite group of international experts and specialists.
The conference aims to exchange expertise and experiences, review the challenges facing the electricity industry in Arab countries, and enhance aspects of cooperation between bodies, organizations and service providers in a way that contributes to creating new opportunities for strategic partnerships and alliances, and improving and developing electrical services in the Arab world.

Topics of the eighth edition

In this context, the topics of the eighth edition of the conference, which is organized by the Arab Electricity Union, in cooperation with the Saudi Electricity Company, include a number of important topics.
Among them are strategies for integrating renewable energy sources into the electrical system in the Arab world, and Arab efforts in the field of confronting climate change and its impact on electrical grid systems in the Arab world.
As well as regulatory policies and legislation for electrical interconnection between Arab countries, innovation, artificial intelligence, and big data management in the electricity sector in the Arab world, and others.

Areas of innovation and renewable energy

The conference program will also include specialized workshops in the fields of innovation, renewable energy, electrical interconnection between Arab countries, and strategies for the electrical mix in the Arab world.
It is the largest platform that brings together electrical service providers in the Arab world, a specialized exhibition for companies and entities that provide electrical services, and manufacturers of electrical technologies.
