7 sectors and 47 central departments within the new structure of “Education”

The Ministry of Education revealed the details of its new organizational structure, which came after the process of merging the ministry with the Emirates Education Foundation, as it included seven different strategic sectors, including about 47 central departments, distributed according to the nature of each sector.

According to the structure, the details of which were reviewed by Emirates Today, the Ministry created the digital transformation and artificial intelligence sector, which includes six central departments, namely the Information Security Department, the Digital Transformation Department, the Digital Experience Department, the Digital Operations Department, the Data Management, and finally the Services Department. Dealers.

The Ministry has approved two work streams for the School Operations Sector, one of which is to manage Abu Dhabi schools, and the second is concerned with operating schools in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. Six central departments operate under the umbrella of each of them, including “planning school operations, school support services, school personnel affairs, quality of life, and student and parent services.” School matters, support and development.

Curricula and skills

The Ministry has identified a sector for curricula and evaluation, which includes seven central departments, namely “curriculum and skills research, education techniques and methods, and two departments for curriculum development and inclusive education, in addition to a department for technical and technical education, and another for developing educational materials and learning resources, in addition to the Department of Tests and Evaluation for General Education.” “Centralization and Standardization,” and finally the Department of Quality of Student Life. The Ministry established four central departments, working under the umbrella of the Professional Development Sector. The first focuses on evaluating the performance of cadres, and the second simulates development and training. Teachers and school staff, the third focuses on developing and training school leaders, and the last is concerned with managing the qualifications of educational staff.

Oversight and licensing

According to the structure, the supervision and licensing sector included five central departments, namely licensing of private educational institutions, professional licensing, supervision of early childhood institutions and public education schools, supervision of technical and vocational education institutions, and evaluation and quality for public and private schools.

The Ministry has identified six central departments operating under the umbrella of the Strategy and Policy Sector, namely Institutional Excellence and Innovation, Education Studies and Policies, Strategy and Future Readiness, Institutional Performance Development, and the Projects and Partnerships Departments.

On the other hand, the support services sector included seven central departments, including human capital management, financial affairs, facilities management, security, health and safety management, procurement and contracts, public services management, and asset and warehouse management.

The new organizational structure showed that the Office of the Minister of Education is directly subordinate to the Internal Audit Department and the Executive Office for Development, while the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education reports to the Departments of Legal Affairs, Governance and Risk, Government Communication, International Cooperation, and the Business Continuity Center.


“Education” approves the timetable for the results of the first semester

The Ministry of Education announced the schedule for announcing the results of the first semester of the academic year 2024-2025, for all academic levels, starting today until Friday, January 10.

The Ministry said that it will announce the results of grades one to four today, and the results of grades five to eight will be announced tomorrow, while the results of grades nine to 12 will be announced on Friday, January 10.

The Ministry explained that students and parents can obtain the results of the first semester through the electronic student portal, according to the dates specified in the timetable, starting at 10 am on the days specified for each academic stage, in addition to the possibility of printing certificates electronically through the same portal, from eight o’clock in the morning. PM until 12 AM.
