Announcing the start of final preparations for the launch of “Mohamed bin Zayed Sat”

Today, the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center organized a press conference to announce the start of final preparations for the launch of “Mohammed bin Zayed Sat”, the most advanced satellite in the region.

Director General of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, Salem Humaid Al Marri, confirmed: “The vision was clear from the beginning, which was for the UAE to be among the leading countries in the field of developing satellites, and for us to use these technologies to serve the country and the region.”

He said: “Our team has completed the development of the most advanced satellite in the region, and we are all proud that it bears the name of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him.”

Al Marri added: “We have succeeded in localizing the space industry and now we have local companies that produce parts of the highest standards for the space industries, such as Strata, Emirates Global Aluminum, Halken, Falcon, EBI, and Rockford Zelerex.”

He explained, “In conjunction with the launch of Mohammed bin Zayed Sat, the HCT-SAT 1 satellite will be launched, which we worked on in cooperation with the Higher Colleges of Technology, as it reflects our strategy to promote scientific innovation and empower Emirati youth.”

The Director General of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center thanked him, saying: “I thank our wise leadership who always supports us to achieve achievements. I also thank the work team and all the partners who contributed to this mission.”
