Emirates Global Aluminum attracts 113 Emirati women during 2024

Emirates Global Aluminum Company announced the recruitment of 113 Emirati women during the year 2024, representing more than half of the number of Emirati citizens employed during the year, whose total number reached 220 employees.

The company stated, in a statement, that it aims to increase the percentage of women in supervisory positions to 25% by the end of 2025, and the percentage of women in all company positions to 15% by 2026, revealing that the percentage of women in supervisory positions currently stands at 23.3%, and in all Positions: 9.6%.

Emirates Global Aluminum revealed that its Emiratization rate reached 44.3% at the end of 2024, noting that it is one of the highest Emiratization rates compared to any major industrial company, given the number of operational jobs.

It stated that it aims to employ about 600 male and female citizens in order to increase Emiratization rates to reach 50% by the end of 2027.

According to the company, in 2024, 144 new employees, including 65 women, joined the national training programs organized by Emirates Global Aluminum to prepare high school graduates to assume technical and administrative positions in the company.

She stated that most of the university graduates who participated in the long-term graduate training program organized by Emirates Global Aluminum in 2024 were women, while the graduates undergo training courses over a period of 18 or 24 months, in order to prepare them to assume supervisory positions or industrial operations in Company.

According to the company, the training program includes working in front-line operational positions that the trainees will supervise after the end of the program.

The CEO of Emirates Global Aluminum, Abdul Nasser bin Kalban, said: “We are proud that more than 71% of Emirati employees will join operational positions in the company in 2024, which confirms our firm commitment to achieving the national strategy for advanced industry and technology.” He added: “Our ambitious goals reflect Emirates Global Aluminum’s pioneering role in developing national talent and innovation in the industrial sector in order to enhance our contributions to the development of the national economy, and we now look forward to reaching the 50% Emiratisation rate in 2027.”

The Emirates Global Aluminum team includes more than 1,300 male and female citizens, more than half of whom are under 35 years of age.
