Ayoun Al-Jawaa… Urgent surgery saves the life of a woman and her three newborns

A specialized medical team at Oyoun Al-Jawaa Hospital, one of the components, succeeded in treating a 31-year-old Saudi woman, who was suffering from severe prenatal bleeding as a result of placental abruption, during the 32nd week of her pregnancy with triplets.
The Qassim Health Council explained that the specialized medical team received the case upon its arrival to the hospital via the Saudi Red Crescent.
She was given urgent medical treatment, and she was transferred to the operating room to perform an emergency caesarean section under the supervision of the obstetrics and gynecology consultant, the anesthesia consultant, and the neonatology consultant.

Newborns are in good health

The Qassim Medical Society indicated that the medical team succeeded in performing the operation skillfully, saving the mother’s life while preserving the safety of the fetuses, who were born in good health. The weights of the three newborns ranged between 1.5 and 1.6 kilograms.

The necessary medical care was provided to them immediately after their birth, and the three children were transferred to the neonatal intensive care department at the Maternity and Children’s Hospital in Buraidah, to receive the necessary health care.
He pointed out that the children left the hospital after checking on their health.
