250 Portuguese companies are preparing to enter the Saudi market

This came during intensive workshops organized by the Saudi-Portuguese Business Council at the Federation of Saudi Chambers in the capital, Lisbon, in the presence of Portugal’s Minister of Infrastructure and Housing, Minister Beto.
Transferring regional headquarters to Saudi Arabia
This step comes within the framework of the efforts of the Saudi-Portuguese Business Council to contribute to the initiative to move the regional headquarters of international companies to the Kingdom, through education about the business environment, ways to enter the market, and introducing investment capabilities and incentives.
Chairman of the Saudi-Portuguese Business Council, Al-Waleed bin Khaled Al-Baltan, said that the competent authorities in the Kingdom provided the necessary infrastructure for the Council, which worked to provide support and facilities to Portuguese investors through agreements that facilitate their entry into the Saudi market.
The first workshop included an introduction to government benefits and incentives programs in the Kingdom, the privileges of the premium residency system for foreign investors, the incentives and guarantees provided to licensed projects, and the conditions for granting a foreign investment license.
The second workshop reviewed banking services for Portuguese companies that move their headquarters to the Kingdom, including facilitating account opening, digital banking, financing solutions, payments, international transfers, investment services, currency exchange, cash management, guarantees and bank credits.
The program represents great importance for Portuguese companies looking to expand and enter the Saudi market. One of the most important and largest markets in the region, with its promising investment opportunities and projects in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
