The Head of State and the Egyptian President discuss the relations of the two countries and developments in the region

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, discussed with his brother Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, today, fraternal relations, aspects of cooperation and joint work between the two countries and ways to develop it in all fields, especially developmental, economic and investment, in a way that serves their common interests and achieves their aspirations. their peoples to development and prosperity.

His Highness and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who is on a working visit to the country, also reviewed a number of regional and international issues and topics of common concern and exchanged views on them, most notably developments in the situation in the Middle East region. In this context, they welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, stressing the necessity of Delivering sufficient humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and continuing diligent efforts to implement the “two-state solution” as it is the way to achieve stability and lasting and comprehensive peace in the region, while His Highness the President of the State praised the efforts. Egypt’s support for the brotherly Palestinian people, in addition to Egypt’s role in reaching a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

During the meeting, the two sides also welcomed the election of Joseph Aoun as President of the Lebanese Republic, hoping that this will contribute to restoring stability in brotherly Lebanon.

His Highness the Head of State and the Egyptian President affirmed their concern for Syria’s unity, stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity, in addition to the importance of starting a comprehensive political process that includes all components of the brotherly Syrian people.

The two sides stressed the need to work to promote peace and stability in the region for the benefit of its peoples.
