UN rapporteur: Israel implicitly admits that its soldiers committed war crimes in Gaza

The UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese, said that Israel implicitly admitted that its soldiers had committed war crimes in Gaza, by advising the soldiers to avoid publishing pictures and scenes that constitute evidence incriminating them in foreign prosecutions.

In a press interview, published today, Friday, provided by the Palestinian News Agency, “Wafa.” Albanese indicated that Israel’s continued attacks on Gaza are unacceptable.
She described the Israeli army’s position regarding urging its personnel not to publish pictures and scenes as “shocking,” saying: “Instead of advising its soldiers not to commit crimes, Israel tells them to cover or blur your faces when sharing video clips.”
She stressed Albanese said that this is an acknowledgment by Israel “that it is possible for Israeli soldiers to commit crimes, and this is unacceptable,” stressing that “the authority of the global judiciary is a powerful tool for achieving justice when all other means fail.”
Global justice allows states or international organizations to prosecute a person accused of crimes against humanity, regardless of where these crimes were committed.
