The colt “Moonfall” is champion of the “Britannia Stakes” race on the third day of “Royal Ascot”

The colt “Moonfall”, owned by the heirs of Sheikh Mohammed bin Obaid Al Maktoum, and under the supervision of trainer George Bouye, was crowned champion of the “Britannia Stakes” race for purebred crossbred horses of the three-year-old par class over a mile (1600 metres) on the grass track, which was held today, Thursday, as part of the third day of the prestigious British “Royal Ascot” festival, which began last Tuesday and continues until next Saturday, and is considered the jewel of racing. Jockey Zack Lloyd succeeded in driving “Moonfall” to conserve his energy during the early stages of the race, and to stay close to the horses in front, before he unleashed it in the final stages, overtaking his rivals to the lead, and crossing the finish line in first place with a time of one minute, 38 seconds and 47 hundredths of a second.
The British colt “Outback Heat” came in second place, under the supervision of trainer Harry Eustace and led by jockey Kaya Fraser, with a difference of three-quarters of a length from the champion, while third place went to the Irish colt “Jamestown”, under the supervision of trainer David Marnan and led by jockey Luke McAteer.
