The Kingdom produces more than 3 billion tons annually
The National Center for Palms and Dates in the Kingdom participates in the activities of the first Al-Kharj Festival for Saudi Dates and Coffee, with an introductory corner highlighting the Kingdom’s efforts in caring for palm trees and their products.
The center indicated that the Kingdom contains more than 123,000 agricultural holdings of about 300 diverse varieties of dates, with more than 37 million palm trees that annually produce more than 3 billion tons of dates, and the number of factories specialized in date products and manufacturing industries reached more than 137 factories.
Due to the high quality of Saudi dates, the demand for the product has increased in the global market, as exports increased from 579 million tons in 2016 to about one and a half billion tons in 2024.
