Dubai, January 20 / WAM / The Dubai Sports Council announced the launch of the “Dubai Clubs Basketball Talent Development Center” for the age groups from 14 to 18 years, which aims to hone the skills of talented players, develop their abilities, and prepare them to lead teams and national teams in the future.
The Council explained in a statement that the launch of the center comes within the program to develop Dubai clubs’ talents in basketball, which includes a group of gatherings, matches, lessons and physical tests under the supervision of technical specialists in basketball at Dubai clubs and the Council’s partners.
The program began with the first experimental gathering held at Al-Nasr Sports Club, in which practical and technical tests were conducted on a group of technical and physical skills to evaluate the players who will join the development centers. Players from Al-Nasr, Al-Wasl and Shabab Al-Ahly clubs participated in it, in addition to players from private academies who were recruited through the tournament. Dubai Open Basketball Academies.
