Latifa Bint Mohammed discusses with Hilda Schwab promoting global innovation

Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairwoman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), met with Hilda Schwab, co-founder and president of the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, during the 55th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

During the meeting, Her Highness praised the pivotal role played by the President of the Schwab Foundation, which has supported entrepreneurs around the world for more than two decades, stressing that the Foundation’s efforts in building partnerships across various sectors to confront social and environmental challenges are consistent with the UAE’s development efforts.

Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum affirmed the UAE’s commitment to creating inspiring systems for creativity and innovation, and promoting international cooperation and inclusiveness. She expressed the country’s keenness to strengthen partnerships with active global entities, institutions and figures, such as Hilda Schwab, to achieve common development goals and inspire positive change. And contribute to building a more just and sustainable world.

The meeting discussed a number of topics that shed light on joint work aimed at advancing global innovation, enhancing sustainability, and achieving comprehensive growth through social entrepreneurship.

The meeting discussed aspects of complementarity between the UAE’s vision for the cultural and creative sectors, and the Schwab Foundation’s mission, which seeks to empower social entrepreneurs to be among the main effective foundations for achieving comprehensive and sustainable development for their societies.

For her part, Hilda Schwab presented insights drawn from her extensive experience in promoting social entrepreneurship and empowering society through innovative, inspiring solutions.

The discussions focused on strategies for integrating social entrepreneurship into cultural initiatives, and enhancing the role of creativity in addressing global challenges such as challenges related to equal opportunities between genders, education, and climate change.
