Marmoush chooses Aguero as his role model in Manchester City

Egyptian star Omar Marmoush, who recently moved to the ranks of Manchester City, confirmed that he feels proud to be the first Egyptian player to join the English Premier League title holder. He said in statements conveyed by the Manchester City media office: “I am very happy to be the first Egyptian to play for Manchester City.” It is an honor for me to raise my country’s name here in the English Premier League. This is just the beginning, and it will be a successful start. I can’t wait to be on the field and show everyone what I can offer. We will work hard over the coming days to prove and achieve this.”
Marmoush sent a message to many of those interested in team news in the Middle East in general, and said: “I am honored to be here, and very happy to be here. God willing, it will be a successful start, and I hope that the coming period will be wonderful for me, the club and the fans, and we hope that we will achieve many things.” Of championships and victories.
Regarding the player he considers a role model in Manchester City, whether current or former players, Marmoush said: “Since I was young, I used to watch Sergio Aguero, because he had a playing style similar to mine. He was not a great striker, but he was always moving into space and when the ball reached his feet, he was dangerous. “So I choose Aguero, of course.”
Manchester City, the English Premier League champion, announced on Thursday its contract with Egyptian international Omar Marmoush, Eintracht Frankfurt striker, for four and a half years.
The club published a picture of Marmoush in a City shirt on the X platform and wrote above it, “Welcome to Manchester City.”
City said on its official website, with a picture of the Egyptian international signing the contract, “The Egyptian striker signed a four-and-a-half-year contract to remain at the Etihad Stadium until the summer of 2029.”
City, which has won the English Premier League for the last four years, did not reveal the value of the contract with Marmoush (25 years old), but British media reported that the value of the deal was about 70 million euros ($72.80 million) and other additions.
Marmoush scored 37 goals and provided 20 assists in 67 matches since joining Frankfurt from Wolfsburg in 2023.
