The Somali President praises the UAE’s support for the development process in his country

For his part, the President of the Arab Parliament stressed that the efforts of President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud aim to achieve comprehensive development in the Republic of Somalia, praising in this context the “New Mogadishu” project launched by his Excellency last December 2024.

Al -Yamahi said that the start of the membership of the Federal Republic of Somalia, as a non -permanent member of the UN Security Council, in January 2025, and for a period of two years, will enhance its role in defending Arab issues in the United Nations.
