She added that the Kingdom is working extensively to reduce carbon emissions by 278 million tons annually by 2030, which enhances its commitment to environmental protection and support global efforts in facing climate change.
She pointed out that the renewable energy sector provides great investment opportunities that include the development of solar energy projects, wind energy and investment in energy storage technologies and improving electrical network efficiency.

Saudi leadership

She added that the Kingdom seeks to produce 40 GW of solar energy by 2030, which opens the way for local and international investors to participate in these ambitious projects.
She indicated that the technical challenges facing this sector include the need to develop advanced technologies for storing energy and ensuring the stability of electrical networks while increasing the proportion of renewable energy, as well as challenges related to localization of technologies and developing human competencies qualified to support the sector.

Promising investments .. Specialists: Renewable energy contributes to diversifying the economy

She emphasized that achieving global leadership in the field of renewable energy requires the Kingdom to take major steps that include resettlement and development of promising technologies and increased investments in the fields of research and development to improve the efficiency of current technologies and create new technologies.
She stressed the importance of cooperation with the world leading companies to exchange experiences and knowledge and develop joint projects that contribute to accelerating the pace of technical progress.
She added that the rehabilitation and training of national cadres through specialized educational and training programs is an essential pillar to ensure the availability of the necessary skills to support the sector.

Renewable energy and vision support

For his part, Professor Dr. Eng. Faisal bin Abdul Rahman, his family, Professor of Environmental Engineering and Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Ankara, explained that renewable energy contributes greatly to achieving environmental sustainability and the goals of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision by reducing carbon emissions as a clean source of energy, which reduces From relying on fossil fuels, which is one of the sources of environmental pollution.
He added that the production of renewable energy supports the Kingdom’s goal to diversify the economy, reduce dependence on oil and enhance the efficiency of resources by reducing the consumption of non -renewable natural resources.
