Sharjah won its first appearance in the Dubai International Basketball Championship
Dubai, January 25 / WAM / 4 games were held today, Saturday, in the competitions of the second day of the 34th edition of the Dubai International Basketball Championship, which takes place at the Rashid Bin Hamdan Hall in Al -Nasr Club with the participation of 10 teams.
In the most prominent results, the Sharjah team achieved an important victory in the championship, in which it participates for the first time, at the expense of the Philippine Zambanga team, with a score of 97-82 in the second group competitions.
Sharjah managed to turn 15 points late to win the same difference, to win the first two points in the tournament.
In the same group, the Libyan Al-Ahly Tripoli team defeated Tunisia, 83-70.
In the first group competitions, the Philippine Strong team defeated Al-Nasr 99-87, achieving its second consecutive victory, while the Lebanese Beirut team defeated the Jordanian Omani Union 87-80.
Tomorrow the competitions will be completed with 3 games, where the Emirates team will meet with the Jordanian Omani Federation team, then the Al -Ahly team will face its Filipino Zambanga and the matches with a meeting that brings together the Lebanese wisdom and the Tunisian team.
