His Excellency said that this national initiative represents a new starting point towards a more interconnected society, as all members of society, including citizens and residents, meet towards one goal, which is the active contribution to the process of sustainable development.
He added that “the year of society” represents a unique opportunity to consolidate the role of sport as a major tool to enhance family and societal ties and develop talents and skills among the people “We are 2031”.
He said, “We in the Ministry of Sports continue to work to unify the efforts of the sports sector leaders in order to achieve the national target by expanding the base of sports practitioners in society to reach the percentage to 75% by 2031 according to the National Sports Strategy and from this standpoint, we confirm our commitment to creating a comprehensive environment that allows all groups of society to practice Sports and physical activities in advanced sports facilities, to contribute to improving the quality of life and enhancing the physical and psychological health of our future generations, in line with the achievement of the “General Society” initiative to build a more prosperous Emirati society.
