The Sharjah Award for Arab Poetry Criticism launches the title of its fifth session

Sharjah, on the first of February / WAM / The General Secretariat of the Sharjah Prize for Criticism of Arabic Poetry, the title “Cultural and Artistic Parts in the Contemporary Arab Poem”, specified for its fifth session, which is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, It is organized by the Department of Cultural Affairs in the Department of Culture in Sharjah.
This came during a meeting held by the General Secretariat, in the Department of Culture, to choose the title of the new session and open the door for participation in the subject of the award for writers, critics and those interested in the field of criticism of Arabic poetry.
Mohamed Ibrahim Al -Qusayr, Director of the Cultural Affairs Department at the Culture Department in Sharjah, Secretary -General of the Sharjah Prize for Criticism of Arab Poetry, said that the cultural vision of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah has strengthened the attendance of the award in the Arab world; As it goes towards a new and renewed session on a remarkable critical topic to continue what it started in establishing a cultural scene that puts Arab poetry under the microscope of Arab critics to contemplate what is happening on the Arab poem, indicating that the award is established for a specialized critical library due to the size of the participants that it receives in its successive sessions.
He added that the new title presents a wide critical horizon of indications and referrals, guiding a remarkable research idea related to the cultural and artistic formats of the contemporary Arab poem, which gives critics a wide area of research on new critical topics, pointing out that the Department of Cultural Affairs will work to generalize the award starting from universities and academics To reach cash specialists in all Arab countries, in addition to the identification seminars that will be organized by poetry houses in the Arab world to provide an opportunity for a wider Arab participation.
The award comes in the context of Arab hair care and to stimulate the energies of critics and those interested in studies directed towards the poetic experience in the service of the Arab creative scene, and it provides financial rewards for the owners of the first three places, where the first winner receives 100 thousand dirhams, while the second winner gets 75 thousand dirhams, and the third is 50 A thousand dirhams.
