The Islamic Forum in Sharjah is discussed during a symposium "Legislation sources" Jurisprudence issues

Sharjah, February 11/ WAM/ The Islamic Forum organized an expanded scientific symposium entitled: “Sources of the legislation in it: its rooting in the jurisprudence curricula and its contemporary applications”, with the participation of a group of scholars and researchers specializing in Islamic jurisprudence and its origins, in the context of the forum’s efforts to deepen scientific dialogue on issues Contemporary jurisprudence, and introducing systematic visions that contribute to the renewal of legal discourse.
The symposium, which continues until tomorrow, addresses rich scientific visions that contribute to building a balanced understanding of the issues of Islamic legislation, as it focuses on highlighting contemporary issues in jurisprudence, the sessions began with the axis of “agreed and different legislation sources” with a focus on the historical and methodological roots of this difference, then The discussion continues in the second axis on “approval and its contemporary applications”, to show how this source is employed in addressing the jurisprudence developments.
On the second day of the symposium, the first axis deals with the “sent interest and its contemporary applications” to discuss the role of the interest in deriving the legal rulings, while the second axis discusses “bridging the excuses and its contemporary applications” to discuss the mechanisms of bridging excuses in the face of contemporary social and economic challenges.
Dr. Ahmed Al -Ketbi, head of the forum in the forum, stressed the importance of the symposium in establishing jurisprudential differences on the sources of the legislation, and explaining its impact on the diversity of Islamic schools of thought, pointing to the need to link jurisprudence to contemporary reality through practical applications of rules such as approval and the sent interest, adding that the symposium aims to enhance dialogue Among the Islamic schools of thought, with balanced visions offered to combine legal principles and taking into account the change of time and space.
He stated that the symposium comes within the framework of the forum’s strategic vision to renew Islamic jurisprudence and keeping pace with the requirements of the times without neglecting the legal principles, as it represents a practical step towards activating the role of different sources in it in providing solutions to the complex community problems, such as the digital economy, family issues, and modern medicine.
Participants in the symposium praised the important role of the Islamic Forum in spreading juristic awareness and enhancing the correct understanding of the principles of Islamic legislation, and indicated that the study of the various jurisprudential sources contributes to achieving the flexibility of Islamic diligence in a way that allows it to keep pace with the continuous developments in Islamic societies.
