His Excellency said, “The question is not the one who owns the resources, but rather who determines the rules of their use, and the authority is no longer the property of those who own land and resources, but for those who create technologies and infrastructure with global influence.”
He added that those who succeed in integrating into this new system will get a great strategic advantage.
The first day of the summit included a session entitled “How will economic alliances lead the future of global influence?” His Excellency Pedro Reese, Minister of Economy in the Republic of Portugal, and His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al -Zayoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade.
His Excellency Pedro Reese said that there are economic challenges in the world and are not limited to a specific region or a specific country, pointing out that strengthening global trade requires facing common challenges by achieving radical reforms, focusing on sustainable development, and reducing bureaucracy.
His Excellency stressed the importance of developing executive plans that focus on change and turn words and ideas into reality, stressing that “balance and respect” is the main factor behind the success of economic alliances.
