المملكة: Regionally, the Kingdom is achieving global leaps in the e -government index

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has achieved an unprecedented digital achievement with its progress 25 ranks in the United Nations E -Government Development Index 2024, to enter the list of the ten best countries in the world as the first country in the Middle East to achieve this advanced position.
It also ranked first in the region, the second among the G20 countries, and the sixth of the world among 193 countries.
According to Saudi digital statistics for the achievements of the digital transformation in government agencies, which were revealed during the “Leap 2025” conference, the Kingdom has witnessed in recent years qualitative developments, as it advanced 12 ranks in 2022 and 25 ranks in 2024, outperforming all countries of the Middle East.

Digital government services

The Kingdom ranked first at the region level and the second rank at the G20 level, bypassing major global economies except for South Korea.
In addition to the general classification, the Kingdom made great progress in the sub -indicators, as it ranked second globally in digital government services within the 20 countries, and 53 ranked in the communications infrastructure index since the launch of Vision 2030.
It ranked first globally in government digital knowledge and skills, and ranked 67 ranks in digital government services to replace fourth in the world, and the 20 countries and the world topped the open data index, and ranked seventh globally and the first in the region in the electronic participation index, superior to major countries such as states United, China, France and Canada.

The United Nations report praised the Saudi progress in the field of e -government and digital services, highlighting the Kingdom’s role in adopting advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain.
The report highlighted a number of leading initiatives, including the launch of a fifth generation network in the Red Sea free of carbon emissions, the application of “Sahiti” that serves 30 million users, in addition to the speed of childish artificial intelligence and global partnerships in cloud computing, the development of smart cities and the benefit of artificial intelligence In municipal services.
In another achievement, Riyadh ranked third in the world, the first regionally and Asian, and among the 20 countries in the United Nations E -government index 2024, as the report praised the smart initiatives in the city, such as smart waste management, the use of cameras equipped with artificial intelligence, and inspection via Drones, Improving the urban scene using technology.
