The number of tourists from 4 Gulf countries to Türkiye is declining 5.8% in 2024

Turkey recorded a decline in the numbers of Gulf tourists from four countries during the year 2024, by about 5.8% compared to the levels of the year 2023, despite its achievement of 7% growth in the levels of tourism flow globally.
According to the data of the Turkish Ministry of Tourism, the total number of tourists from the markets: UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar, to Turkey during the past year, reached one million, 356 thousand and 150 tourists for a million, 439 thousand and 433 tourists in the year 2023.
The Kuwaiti market recorded the highest decline in tourists to Turkey in the year 2024 compared to the rates of retreat from other Arab Gulf states, as it reached about 27.2%, after the number of Kuwaiti visitors decreased to about 264.4 thousand visitors compared to about 363 thousand visitors in the previous year (2023) .
Qatar came again, with the decrease in the number of Qatari tourists to Turkey and the record of about 57.8 thousand visitors in the year 2024 compared to about 70 thousand visitors in the year 2023, a decrease of 17.5%.
In turn, the number of Emirati tourists to Turkey during the year 2024 recorded about 99.9 thousand visitors, compared to about 120 thousand tourists in the year 2023, a decrease of 17.2%, at a time when the number of Bahraini tourists recorded a decrease of 0.46% to 64.44 thousand visitors compared to 64.47 thousand in the year 2023 .
On the other hand, the Saudi market achieved an increase of 5.9% in the number of tourists to Turkey during the year 2024, recording about 869 thousand visitors compared to about 820 thousand in the year 2023, unless the statistics of the Turkish Tourism Authority appear the numbers of tourists from the Sultanate of Oman during the year 2024.
Globally, the number of international tourists to Türkiye increased during the year 2024 to 52.62 million tourists compared to 49.2 million visitors in the year 2023.
