The CEO of the General Food and Drug Authority, Hisham bin Saad Al -Jadati, launched today, in the “Authority” wing at the Libyan 2025 conference, the service of “a permit to possess travelers for control drugs”, to ensure a smooth experience for travelers while maintaining the appropriate control of such medicines.
The service provides travelers coming to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and those who leave them previously disclosed for their control of control medicines, and obtaining the necessary permissions to enter or remove them from the Kingdom, by attaching the documents and data required for the type and quantities of medicines and the duration of accommodation, through the registered medicine system, to be reviewed and processed According to the procedures and controls, and then the approval permit is issued to use it and disclose it to the relevant authorities upon arrival in the passenger crossing outlets and during their residence.

Controlled drugs

This service will reinforce the control of the use of control drugs in order to achieve integration with the relevant government agencies, and to ensure adherence to local and international regulations for travel and prevent misuse of them so that the individuals are authorized, or those who represent them only those who carry such medications.
It will also contribute to improving the traveler’s experience and supporting tourism growth by simplifying the process of disclosing control drugs; What gives the tourist a more smooth entry, residence and exit experience, and enhances the presence of the Kingdom as an important destination on the global tourism map in line with the targets of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision.
