Dubai Customs launch an award "fingerprint" To protect intellectual property

Dubai, February 15 / WAM / Dubai Customs launched the “imprint” prize for developing creative ideas and protecting intellectual property, in line with the goals of the “Year of Society”, by developing skills, talent care, and encouraging innovation in various fields.
The award comes within the framework of the efforts of Dubai Customs aimed at consolidating the culture of creativity and innovation in society and increasing its awareness of its members to protect intellectual property rights, combating infringement of these rights and confrontation with all firmness of counterfeit goods.
The award is divided into two categories, the first is intended for all members of society, and the second for school and university students, to encourage emerging generations to participate effectively in educating the community about the dangers and damages of counterfeit goods and infringement of intellectual property rights, and their environmental, health and economic effects.
Youssef Azir Mubarak, Director of the Department of Intellectual Property Protection at Dubai Customs, stressed that Dubai Customs represented in the Department of Intellectual Property Protection pays great attention to protecting the rights of brands, creators and innovators, in light of its mission to protect society and promote sustainable economic development, through commitment and Facilitation and innovation.
Aisha Harib, a first awareness and education officer, said that the Dubai Customs, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, is keen to organize the intellectual property award for school and university students at the state level annually, noting that the department was launched and in conjunction with the “General Society” category New from the award includes all members of society to encourage them to innovate and enhance awareness of intellectual property protection. Regarding the award and its conditions, she said that it is dedicated to the best awareness initiative, as it falls under each category three categories, the first is the contestant participating in the award by preparing video content video, and determining the social media channel that the campaign will be broadcast on where the content and social media will be approved before The award team, while the second category will be through writing an article or a short story about the impact of intellectual property on society and stimulating the protection of creativity and innovation, and the third category via podcast for an audio recording discusses the most important aspects of intellectual property in an influential innovative way, noting that all the participants will be supported and directed from Forensic guides in the field of intellectual property protection.
She explained that the participation form will be received until February 17, and the content will be received and approved during the period from 3 to 25 March, provided that the first winner of the award, during the celebration of the International Day for the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights, which falls on April 26 of each year.
