Germany .. Hundreds demonstrate coinciding with the Munich Security Conference

Hundreds of people went out in demonstrations and gatherings to express human rights, peace, democracy and pluralism, and to denounce hatred, incitement and war.
This came in conjunction with the Munich Security Conference in southern Germany, and called for some demonstrators to disarm.

Demonstrations in Munich

While others opposed the convening of the same conference, as prominent political leaders from all over the world meet for three days to discuss security issues.
The German authorities have established a tight security area around the conference headquarters at the luxurious “Pyrecher Hove”.
And the imposition of a flying ban over the city, which includes drones, and about 5,000 policemen participate in the conference securing the conference throughout its three days, with the support of other German states and Austria.

Organizing a protest human chain

About 1,200 people gathered in a demonstration in the “Steachus” square this afternoon, before they set out in a march across the city center towards the “Marine Platz” square.
Another protest march was also launched from the “Konigs Platz” square, where the police estimated the number of participants there between 500 and 600 people.
As for the Audios Platz Square, it has witnessed a fixed sit -in from noon before the organization of a protest human chain.

Running attack in Munich

A police spokesman said that the number of participants in the protests in general was less than expected.
The reason for this was likely to be due to the run -over attack in Munich the day before Thursday.
A young man was raided by a demonstration of the “Verdi” union with his car, injuring at least 39 people, some of whom were serious.
