Jazan Book Fair discusses life in the Arabian Peninsula in the past
The workshop dealt with artistic methods and techniques used in rock inscriptions, in addition to analyzing symbols and sculpted forms that reflect the features of life and culture in the Arabian Peninsula during ancient times.
Documenting human history
During the workshop, he reviewed the most prominent archaeological sites in the Kingdom, such as Jubba in Hail, Tayma, and Tabuk, which embraces archaeological writings and inscriptions dating back to thousands of years, including inscriptions in the Musnad line, one of the oldest Arabic fonts, and discussed the research efforts to preserve this cultural heritage, and its role In documenting human history and understanding the development of ancient societies in the Kingdom.
The workshop witnessed a wide presence of those interested in antiquities, who praised the importance of rock arts as part of the Kingdom’s cultural identity, and this event comes within a series of initiatives aimed at enhancing awareness of cultural and artistic heritage, and stimulating literary creativity in future generations.
