المملكة: The General Transport Authority signed a memorandum of understanding to qualify national cadres

The President of the General Transport Authority, Dr. Rumaih bin Muhammad Al -Rumaih, signed a memorandum of understanding with the President of the Islamic University in Medina, Dr. Saleh bin Ali Al -Aqla.
It aims to enhance cooperation between the academic sector and the organizational bodies to develop the transportation sector, and to support specialized research and studies in the areas of sustainable transport and innovation.

Development of the transportation sector in Saudi Arabia

In addition to qualifying national cadres and developing skills in line with the needs of the transport market.
This agreement comes within the framework of joint efforts to enhance the partnership between academic institutions and biological sectors, which contributes to achieving the targets of the national strategy for transport and logistical services.
The Cooperation Memorandum includes conducting research and technical studies, and encouraging students to engage in research projects that contribute to the development of the transportation system.
This is in addition to exchanging expertise and technical and consulting services in accordance with the regulations and procedures approved by both parties.

Transportation of pilgrims and pilgrims

The agreement will also allow the benefit of students ’projects and faculty members in practice, especially during the Hajj and Umrah seasons.
Transport is a pivotal element in facilitating pilgrims and pilgrims, which contributes to improving the quality of the services provided and raising their operational efficiency.
Cooperation also includes preparing advanced studies in public transport and logistical transportation of various patterns, including land, marine, and catastrophic transportation, ensuring the development of infrastructure and the promotion of sustainability.

This partnership reflects the commitment of the General Authority for Transport to support scientific research and innovation in the sector, and to enhance cooperation with academic authorities to qualify national cadres and develop the skills necessary to keep pace with developments in the transport industry.
