Saud bin Saqr receives scientists participating in the international workshop for advanced materials
Ras Al Khaimah, February 19/ WAM/ His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, received at the Palace of His Highness in Saqr Bin Muhammad, today, a group of scholars and researchers participating in the 16th session of the International Employment Workshop for Advanced Materials, Its activities were concluded today with the participation of more than 200 scientists, student and specialized from prominent academic and research institutions around the world.
During the meeting, His Highness the Ruler of Al -Khaimah appreciated the efforts of scientists and researchers in enriching the work of the workshop through the discussion sessions in which they participated, and the specialized research papers presented by them, which constitute a basic pillar in international efforts to achieve sustainable development in various countries of the world.
His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi stressed that science has the ability to make radical changes in societies, and to build a brighter and sustainable future for all humanity. Through scientific discoveries, new horizons for acquiring knowledge and technological development are opened, which enables facing global challenges, starting with climate change, to health care.
His Highness and the attendees exchanged conversations about a number of recommendations and outputs of the workshop for this year in the energy, transportation and manufacturing sectors, which contributes to enhancing cooperation between academic institutions in Ras Al Khaimah and their counterparts from international research institutes to develop research areas that support the emirate’s march towards more progress and sustainable prosperity.
For their part, the participating scholars expressed their deep thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, for the warm reception and generous hospitality, and for his great support and appreciation to scholars and researchers.
They emphasized that His Highness’s sponsorship of the international workshop for advanced materials, for 16 years, contributed to its success and continuity as an international scientific platform, and allowed scientists and researchers from around the world the opportunity to consult, exchange experiences and see the latest scientific research.
On this occasion, His Highness the Ruler of Al -Khaimah held a dinner in honor of the participants.
The meeting was attended by a number of officials.
