المملكة: Taif groves are adorned with white in preparation for the apricot season “Abu Khadin”

With the end of the winter, the apricot groves in the valleys of Taif blooming, dressing the mountains with a bright white garment, or what is known as “nipple”. These flowers are preached to a harvest at the beginning of the month of Dhu al -Qi’dah, where farmers are preparing to receive the famous sectarian apricot fruits, known as “Abu Khadin”.

Taif apricots “Abu Khadin” are known for its diabetic taste and bright red color, which is attributed to soil fertility and the sweetness of valleys in the region.
Apricot farms are spread in many of the valleys of Taif, including Al -Buni, Al -Ghadeerin, Muharram, Quraysh, Bani Malik, Thaqif, Al -Harith, Bani Saad, Tumal, Al -Aila, Wali, Al -Hada and Al -Shafa.

The centers of southern Taif, Kabini Saad, Maysan, Thaqif and Bani Malik, are among the most important areas producing apricots, covering more than half of the governorate’s production of fruits.
It is expected that the apricots of Taif will witness a wide turnout of visitors and vacationers as every year, as it is considered one of the distinctive summer fruits that the region is famous for.

The apricot season continues from mid -May to the end of July, for a period of between 40 and 45 days, during which the people and visitors enjoy the taste of fresh sectarian apricots, and benefit from its high nutritional value.
