Abu Dhabi Police launches “educating our children a national and societal responsibility”

The Department of Patrols for the Criminal Security Sector in the Abu Dhabi Police organized a societal awareness event, under the slogan “educating our children is a national and societal responsibility”, in cooperation with the Community Police Department, the Security Media Department, the Abu Dhabi Youth Council, and a number of external partners, including the Abu Dhabi Municipality, the Estabat Bouhatt Academy, and the Bani Yas Sports Club.

The event was held in the Baniyas Council, with the aim of enhancing and providing advice and guidance to parents about the importance of investing the spare time of children during the summer vacation, and educating the community about the need to direct children towards useful and safe activities, contributing to building their personalities, and protecting them from negative behaviors.

Colonel Pilot Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Director of Special Patrols Department, affirmed that this initiative comes from the Abu Dhabi Police’s keenness to support the community security system, through direct interaction with members of society, and enhancing the role of the family in protecting children and directing them towards the right path, stressing that the free time of children may turn into a challenge if it is not invested properly.

He pointed out that the concerted efforts of the participating parties reflects the active partnership between the various institutions of society in achieving awareness, educational and national goals.
