His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, yesterday witnessed an aspect of the second day of the sixth edition of “Dubai Games”, which will be held with the participation of 244 teams from all over the world.

His Highness praised the advanced level on which the competing teams appeared, and the high performance it provided that reflects the extent of the physical and mental fitness of the competitors, stressing that His Highness is that Dubai continues to provide an inspiring model for the conscious community of the value of sport, and is keen to make it a lifestyle that everyone follows within the various age groups and physical capabilities.

Strong competitions

The activities of the second day of the championship, held in an official partnership with “DB and Supreme Partnership” with “Damac” and “Emirates” and in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council, and will continue until tomorrow in “Dubai Festival City”, to complete the government challenge competitions for men, which resulted in On the qualification of four teams to participate in the final round to be held tomorrow.

The Abu Dhabi Police team was ranked first in this challenge with 121 points, followed by the Land Department and Real Estate Organization team – Ajman with 113.74 points, while the third place won the Ministry of Defense team with 113.63 points, and the state security team in Dubai came in the fourth place with 112.19 points .

The activities of the second day of “Dubai Games 2025” also included the first round competitions for the challenge of the cities, which witnessed a great expansion this year through the participation of 50 teams from around the world represented many countries, including alongside the UAE: Bahrain, Kuwait, Denmark, Australia, Norway, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Spain, Italy, Germany, Russia, Poland, Czech Republic, Netherlands, France, Portugal, and other countries.

It is expected that the competition will increase on the third day of the tournament, with the continued enthusiastic confrontations within the category of “Cities Challenge” and the launch of “the challenge of society”, in order to complete the strong performance that the tournament witnessed during its first and second days.

This session of “Dubai Games” is witnessing a record growth in the number of participating teams, as it attracts 244 teams of different groups, which reflects the increasing momentum of the tournament and establishes Dubai’s position as a global capital of sports and challenge. The competition categories of this year include 84 teams in the government challenge – men, 26 teams in the government challenge – women, 28 teams in the community challenge category, and 50 teams within the category of the cities challenge, in addition to 56 teams that participated in the challenge of the young.
