“Shopping on the night of Ramadan” raises the sales of the outlets at record rates

Yesterday, the outlets in the state markets witnessed a large turnout from consumers to shop on Ramadan, and buy the requirements of the holy month of food commodities and the offers of discounts on the markets.
Long queues were lined up in front of the payment boxes in several outlets, amid fierce competition from the outlets that offered large proportions ranging between 10 and 50%, on a large number of basic and non -essential food commodities, as well as paper napkins, detergents, cooking utensils, electrical appliances, food and phones, and reached 75% on varieties of vegetables, fresh fruits and sweets.
Consumers told «Emirates Today» that the reduced goods are many and varied, and the rates of discounts are high, demanding the continuation of these cuts throughout Ramadan, explaining that their purchases focused on a number of basic commodities, most notably meat, poultry, oils, rice, flour, milk, sugar and dairy, along with vegetables, fruits, tea, and goods that are frequently used in Ramadan, such as dates and nuts And others.
They added that they prefer shopping on the night of Ramadan for most needs, because the purchase is linked to that night with a family ritual and tradition of preparing for the month of the Holy and receiving it, demanding an increase in priority offers and diversification of their signs, and continuing to provide sufficient stocks of offers until the end of the month.
On the other hand, officials in the outlets of sales confirmed that the month of Ramadan is one of the most important purchase seasons that the outlets have been preparing for months, to offer discounts in agreement with producers and suppliers on goods that have a large demand from consumers in the Holy Month, noting that sales are high in record proportions of up to 50% during the days before Ramadan directly.
A tour of “Emirates Today” in a number of sales outlets showed that the discounts on food commodities included brands and several varieties of fresh, frozen and eggs, unlike the usual, as well as long -term and dry milk, rice, pasta, oils, sugar, flour, ghee, tea, coffee, preserved foods, such as beans, chickpeas, cheese, juices, and water, Tomato sauce, cooking cream, hot and frozen foods, the most prominent of which are poultry, chicken pieces, vegetables, fruits, fish, “shrimp” and commodities that are frequently consumed in Ramadan, such as dates and nuts, “fityto”, jelly, Karim Karajil, cream, dried fruits, sweets, chocolate, etc.

In detail, the consumer Muhammad Sultan said, “Selling outlets have offered cuts in large proportions, ranged between 10 and 60%, and included a large number of basic and non -essential commodities that are frequently used in Ramadan,” explaining that his purchases focused on reduced goods, most notably meat, poultry, rice, milk and dates, along with several varieties of vegetables and fruits, demanding the continuation of the cuts In high rates on a large number of commodities throughout Ramadan.
The consumer, Amani Khalifa, said, “The cuts were mostly focused between 20 and 50%, and included a large number of commodities that are frequently used in Ramadan, whether essential or non -essential. The consumer, Reda Abdel Karim, noted that the cuts ranged mostly between 10 and 50%, and included a large number of commodities that are a priority for consumers during Ramadan, explaining that his purchases focused on fresh and frozen meat, poultry, pasta, preserved foods, and dried fruits, along with some food making devices.

The consumer, Anwar Badr, said, “It is preferable to buy various needs with his family on the night of Ramadan from the outlets, because the shopping for the needs of the Holy Month that night is a family ritual and tradition that expresses the aspects of preparing for the Ramadan season.”
He pointed out that “he focused on purchases on basic food commodities, with some supplies to buy from the offers of offers at the outlets, especially in light of the launch of a large number of outlets, extensive discounts on Ramadan commodities.”
The consumer, Mohamed Abdel Aziz, added that “although there are a large number of consumers in the outlets during the Ramadan night, it is preferable to buy during that night for the requirements of the Holy Month, due to the joy and preparation of his family for the holy month,” noting that “the increase in the number of retailer trade outlets that offer discounts compared to previous years, reduces the traditional crowds.”
The consumer, Alia Ghanem, explained that “the discounts of discounts supports shopping opportunities for various commodities during the night of Ramadan, but it is important that the focus is on priority commodities offers for consumers, such as meat, eggs, poultry and dairy products, with the need to diversify the signs offered in those offers.”
The consumer, Samir Naji, considered that “the purchase of Ramadan night is important for many families for workers, the first relates to the rituals of preparation for the Holy Month, and the second is linked to benefiting from the offers of discounts offered in the markets during that night in many ports”, calling for “the necessity of providing sufficient stocks of offers until the end of Ramadan, with the increase in important and priority goods for consumers within the offers.”

On the other hand, the CEO of the Union Cooperation, Mohamed Al -Hashemi, said that “the cooperative has provided the necessary preparations to keep pace with the demand for shopping on the night of Ramadan by consumers, whether by providing a sufficient number of employees to meet the requirements of shoppers, or by providing large quantities of food commodities and products covered by offers that are witnessing a significant increase in demand from consumers.”
For his part, the director of the Marketing and Public Relations Department of the Sharjah Cooperative, Faisal Khaled Al -Naboodah, said that “the cooperative outlets have taken extensive preparations in light of the high consumer demand for purchase on the night of Ramadan, and provided a sufficient number of accounting employees, with the constant availability of goods with high demand in the outlets that witness a large demand from consumers”, pointing out that “Ramadan night is witnessing a record increase in a number Shoppers who visit the outlets, prefer shopping this night. ”
The director of purchases in one of the retailers chains, Dilip Fishal, pointed out that «the night of Ramadan witnessed an increase in the number of shoppers in proportions estimated at 70%, compared to normal days, and sales are expected to increase at record rates of more than 45%, compared to normal days.
Ramadan night
The sales officer at one of the sales outlets, Mohamed Bashir, said that “the discount offers differ according to the policies of the outlets, and that the night of Ramadan is witnessing a great demand exceeding 60 and 70%, while sales growth is estimated at 40%, compared to the normal days.”
In turn, the official in a large sale outlet, Muhammad Al -Asaad, said that “Ramadan is one of the most important purchase seasons that the outlets have been preparing for months to offer discounts in large proportions to a large number of commodities that have a demand from consumers in Ramadan, in agreement with the producers and suppliers”, pointing out that the rates of discounts differ according to the commodity, at a time when discounts were offered to multiple trademarks from the commodity itself, in a way that suits the needs and tastes Consumers.
He emphasized the existence of the demand for discounts during the days before Ramadan, and reached the peak of turnout yesterday, on the night of Ramadan, pointing to the rise in sales at rates of up to 50% during the days before Ramadan.
Preparations for sales outlets
The official in a large sale, Ali Dawood, said that “the sales outlets were keen to prepare for the month of Ramadan through large discounts ranging between 20 and 60%, on a large number of commodities, with the high rates of discounts on some varieties of vegetables and fruits in larger proportions,” explaining that the demand for purchase reached its peak yesterday, and sales recorded an increase of up to 50%, during the period before Ramadan directly.
He noted that offering early discounts before Ramadan, up to two weeks in some outlets, reduced the crowding during the days before Ramadan, expecting the momentum of shopping during the next two days, due to the coincidence of the weekend at the beginning of the month of fasting.
