Sheikh Zayed Book Award announces the short lists for the 19th session

Abu Dhabi, March 3/ WAM/ The Sheikh Zayed Book Award, organized by the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language, announced the short lists of the 19th session and nominated for the branches of “Arts”, “Children’s Literature and Evidence”, “Translation”, “Development and State Building”, “Arts and Critical Studies”, “Arabic Culture in Other Languages”, “Achieving Manuscripts”, and included the lists of distinguished works And varied from around the world.
The scientific body of the award approved the short lists, during a meeting chaired by His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Tamim, President of the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language, Secretary -General of the Award, and the presence of the members of the commission, and they are Saeed Hamdan Al Tunaiji, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center, Professor Juergen Buz from Germany, and Dr. Nadia Al -Sheikh from Lebanon, and Professor Mustafa Al -Sulaiman from Jordan.
The authority also included new members, Dr. Khaled Al -Masry from Jordan/ the United States of America, Dr. Reem Bassiouni from Egypt, Dr. Munira Al -Ghadeer from Saudi Arabia, the Turkish translator and academic Dr. Muhammad Hakki voters, in the presence of Abdul Rahman Al -Naqbi, Director of the Literary Awards Department at the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center.
The short list of the Literature branch included three works, “Sphinx” by Ahmed Murad from Egypt, “The Trails of the City of the City of Tayyard” by Saud Al -Sanousi from Kuwait, and “Hind or the most beautiful woman in the world” by Hud Barakat from Lebanon – France.
While the short list of the branch of the child’s literature included three works, “Maimouna and her crazy ideas!” Sherine Spanikh from Jordan, “Spectrum Spectrum” for the seeda of Basir from Morocco, and “The Digital Fox” for Al -Sawy’s migration from Egypt.
The short list of the translation branch also included three works, “One Thousand and One Nights: The Book of Love”, translated from Arabic to German Claudia Ott from Germany, and “Harushiush” by Paul Harshiush, translated from Arabic to English Marco de Branco from Italy, and “Devil theory: Literature and common sense” by Antoine Compaian, translated from French to Arabic.
The short list of the Branch of Arts and Critical Studies contained three works: “Food and Speech: Cultural Rhetorical Exclusions in the Arab Heritage” by Dr. Saeed Al -Awadi from Morocco, and “Poetry and Nabwa: Abu Al -Tayeb Al -Mutanabbi with poetry” by Dr. Rita Awad from Palestine, and “Samarra Al -Omraniya: A Reading in the Abbasid Governor and its planning” by Dr. Khaled Al -Sultani from Iraq.
The short list of the branch of development and state construction included three works: “The Right of Service and Care: Corporation Approaches to the Rights of Muslim Women” by Professor Dr. Muhammad Bishary from the United Arab Emirates, and “in the philosophy of recognition and identity policies: criticism of the cultural approach to Arab -Islamic culture” by Hossam El -Din Darwish from Syria / Germany, and “cities and trade in Arab and Islamic civilization” by Professor Dr. Majd Al -Din Khamsh from Jordan.
The short list of the Arab Culture Branch in other languages also contained three works: “Arab literary culture in Southeast Asia in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries of” by Andrew Beckok from Britain and the book “The rise of the Arabic book” by the writer Beatrice Grendlaler, from Germany and the book “The History of Eastern Zajal: Arab Poetry with colloquial dialects from the eastern Arab world- from its beginnings until the end of the Mamluk era” Türkiye.
As for the short list of the branch of manuscripts, it included three works, “Women’s News” by Rashid Al -Khayoun from Iraq/ the United Kingdom, and “Explanation of the Poems of Horizons” in favor of Al -Jassar from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and “The Planets in the Arrangement of the visit” by Dr. Ahmed Jumaa Abdel Hamid from Egypt, while it was decided to block the “young author” and “publishing and cultural techniques” for this year.
The Sheikh Zayed Book Award in its 19th session received more than 4 thousand nominations, from 75 countries, including 20 Arab countries and 55 foreign countries, including 5 countries participating for the first time, are Albania, Bolivia, Colombia, Trinidad, Tobago, and Mali, which confirms the leadership of the award and its global position.
