" Sharjah Book Authority" UAE and Moroccan artists gather in a joint art project

Sharjah, March 3 / WAM / The Sharjah Book Authority concluded the technical production workshop for the “Andalusia: Future visual simulation”, which was held yesterday at its headquarters as part of its preparations for the Sharjah program, guest of honor of the International Publishing and Book Fair in Rabat 2025, and within the efforts of the authority to draw the major cultural and historical achievements and re -present it with contemporary artistic visions that reflect the interaction of civilization with the future.
The project aims to re -imagine Andalusian heritage through art, where a group of painters, graphic designers and plastic artists from the Emirates and Morocco worked to produce artistic paintings inspired by Andalusian civilization that combines historical originality with modern artistic techniques, whether through digital or traditional drawing or using innovative artistic techniques.
The workshop’s outputs are crowned with the issuance of an artistic book documenting the productive works in addition to organizing a special art exhibition within the Wing of the Emirate of Sharjah at the International Publishing and Book Fair in Rabat 2025 organized by the Culture Sector at the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communications during the period from 17 to 27 April in the Swiss Swiss space in Rabat.
His Excellency Ahmed bin Rakad Al -Amiri, CEO of the Sharjah Book Authority, said that the project is an extension of the vision of Sharjah in re -reading the cultural and civilizational history with contemporary creative visions where the role of arts is not limited to documenting heritage but rather extends to be a bridge for interaction between cultures and a window to re -discover the aesthetics that formed our Arab civilization and through this joint work between Emirati and Moroccan artists we seek to highlight art capacity Building a sustainable dialogue between the bright Arab world and its Maghreb and enhancing the creative interaction between generations, which is consistent with the Sharjah Cultural Project led by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
He added: We aspire to be this artistic production with the directives of Sheikha Badour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Book Authority, as a qualitative addition to the Arab and international cultural scene, as it will provide visitors with the Rabat exhibition with a visual experience that reflects the depth of Andalusian heritage and its future vision.
A group of plastic artists and designers from the Emirates and Morocco participated in the project.
From the UAE, the artist, Al -Nassar, presented her creativity in the illustration, inspired by the Emirati heritage, while the artist Alia Al Hammadi added her touches in her graphic style, which mixes expressive lines and creative formations. Nour Al -Khumairi, who has extensive experience in the fields of design and wall painting, participated, where she presented an architectural and artistic vision inspired by the Andalusian style.
From Morocco, the artist, Moulay Youssef Al -Kahmi, contributed to his creativity in the art of graphics, based on the techniques of new lithography, while Bashir Amal added the summary of his experiences to the project, relying on his experience in contemporary plastic arts. The artist Ahmed Jared also strengthened the project’s vision through his merging between philosophy and formation, as he presented works that inspire Andalusian aesthetics in innovative visual contexts.
