المملكة: Al -Ahsa .. a plan to enhance environmental systems and support farmers in the oasis

The Supreme Supervisory Supervisory Committee for the Protection of Al -Ahsa Oasis revealed an integrated plan aimed at strengthening the unique environmental systems of the oasis, and providing the necessary support to farmers to ensure the sustainability of this vital resource.
This came during the fifteenth meeting of the committee, which was held under the chairmanship of the Undersecretary of Al -Ahsa Governorate, Moaz Al -Jaafari, and in the presence of representatives of all relevant government agencies.
The meeting, hosted by the General Irrigation Corporation, was attended by representatives of the Foundation, Al -Ahsa Municipality, the Office of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, the branch of the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage, and the Ministry of Trade.

The discussions focused on developing effective organizational measures to preserve the vast agricultural area of ​​the oasis, and to ensure its sustainability for future generations.
The plan, which was unveiled, included several major axes, the most prominent of which is the promotion of coordination between the relevant government agencies to develop practical solutions that contribute to the preservation of this valuable environmental and agricultural legacy.
Participants in the meeting emphasized the importance of concerted efforts to preserve the Al -Ahsa Oasis, which is one of the largest agricultural oases in the world.
They stressed the need to continue working to enhance its various environmental systems, provide all forms of support to farmers, and apply the best sustainable agricultural practices to ensure the continuity of the oasis bid.
The plan includes mechanisms to support farmers, and provide them with the necessary training on the latest sustainable cultivation methods. The plan also includes awareness programs of the importance of preserving the oasis’s biological diversity and encouraging environmentally friendly practices.
