Cooperation between the universities of Sharjah and the Chinese agricultural Hunan

Sharjah, April 27 / WAM / Sharjah University signed a memorandum of understanding with the Hunan Agricultural University in the People’s Republic of China, to enhance academic and research cooperation and activate international exchange programs between the two institutions.

The memorandum provides for the development of cooperation in several areas that include the exchange of faculty members, researchers and students, and the exchange of academic subjects and scientific publications, in addition to implementing joint educational and cultural programs and organizing academic and research activities at the international level, which contributes to the consolidation of the position of the two universities as two pioneering institutions in the higher education sector.

During the official visit of the university, the delegation of the Hunan Agricultural University was chaired by Mr. Wu Bo, Vice President of the University, where he was received by Dr. Youssef Hayek, Deputy Director of Sharjah University for Academic Affairs, as well as a number of members of the academic and administrative body from both sides.

The visit program included extensive meetings with faculty members, in addition to a tour at the Sharjah Academy of Space and Astronomy, to see advanced research and educational facilities at the university.

The delegation of the Hunan Agricultural University included: Yi Hobing, director of the International Exchange Office, Shawhwa, Director of the Development Planning Office, Liu Chang Ping, Dean of the Landscape Engineering College, Liu Hui, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Chu Yawiu, Dean of the Faculty of Environment and Ecology, and Chu Xiao Mai, Director of the International Cooperation Program Office.
