Floods hit large areas of Indonesia and force the population to displace

Heavy rains that fell to the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, and cities close to them in the formation of massive floods that affected more than 60,000 people and led to the closure of stores and factories.
The National Agency for Disaster Relief in Indonesia stated in a statement that at least 1500 people were displaced by the heavy rains that started with long yesterday, pointing out that the evacuation of tents in the affected areas is still ongoing.
She pointed out that the water was flooded with a large shopping center in Picassi, one of the most populated city of Indonesia, while many factories stopped working after the water raided them.
The Indonesian Meteorological Agency expected that heavy rains in the country continued until March 11, warning against the formation of floods in many regions.
