The Department of Municipalities and Transport has increased its readiness to deal with the expected weather situation in the country between March 21 and 27, 2026, as part of the emergency plan that it is implementing in coordination with various relevant authorities, as part of its keenness to ensure the safety of society and the continuity of services.
Preparations included activating emergency operations offices in the Abu Dhabi City Municipality, Al Ain City Municipality, and Al Dhafra Region Municipality, to respond to incoming reports around the clock, in addition to deploying integrated teams that include engineers, monitors, and supervisors, supported by auxiliary workers, heavy equipment, and specialized vehicles.
The department calls on the public to contact emergency operations offices via the number 993 to report any accumulations of rainwater or other field observations, and stresses the importance of avoiding entering valleys, reefs, and water accumulation sites during weather conditions, and to fully adhere to the instructions of official authorities in a way that ensures the safety of individuals and property, and supports the efforts of field work teams.
